I have photographed a lot of mountain weddings, and not one has been cancelled because of rain. It always seems to come and go. Joshua and Keri picked the San Sophia Overlook for their wedding ceremony, coming all the way from Illinois. Accessible by gondola, The Overlook boasts views of the San Sophia Mountains, and the town of Telluride. In the midst of their vows, a cool shower, greeted by an abundance of umbrellas, did not stop the ceremony. Their reception was at the 221 South Oak Bistro in Telluride where some amazing appetizers and tapas were served.
I had the opportunity to serve in South Sudan with Far Reaching Ministries. After teaching six classes a day, I would go into the villages and do some family portraits. Some amazing courageous people live in South Sudan, struggling to survive every day, yet full of contentment. I look forward to the opportunity of returning. Took all these with a 35mm film camera and some Ektar 100. I was only allowed to take 15 pounds on my trip so I kept it the equipment to a minimum.
